McConchie receives Illinois Chamber of Commerce “Champion of Free Enterprise” award

For his support of pro-business legislation, State Senator Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) received the “Champion of Free Enterprise” award from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

In order to receive the award, a senator or representative must have received an average of 85 percent or better voting record over the previous two General Assemblies. Voting records are based on a legislator’s votes on measures the Chamber deems important to the state’s business community.

Senator McConchie received an overall score of 97% (100% for the 99th General Assembly and 94% for the 100th General Assembly), making him eligible to receive the award.

“Supporting legislation that helps our business climate is one the most important things we, as legislators, can do to get Illinois back on the right track economically,” said McConchie. “I am honored to have been recognized by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, and I look forward to continuing to support our state’s employers in the years to come.”
