State Senator Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) reacts to the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer:
“Like the rest of the country, I, too, am outraged by the senseless killing of George Floyd. It is disturbing and appalling that a person could use such excessive force on a man who was clearly begging for his life. And to watch three other officers cowardly stand by allowing it to happen is absolutely gut-wrenching. This kind of abuse of power has no place in our society. While a few bad apples should not reflect law enforcement as a whole, it is important to recognize that this incident is not an isolated one.”
