Springfield, IL… Senate Republican Leader Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) released the following statement regarding the continued strike with material producers:
“The ongoing dispute has greatly disrupted many ongoing infrastructure improvement projects in Illinois. The longer this goes on, the greater the risk for public safety and the longer it will take to complete construction. During the height of traveling season, there is no time to stall; there must be urgency to come to an agreement. I call on all parties to return to the negotiating table to work out a deal immediately so that people can get back to work and Illinoisans can have safe roads on which to travel. There is no reason for this strike to continue any longer than it already has.”
