Senator McConchie to Host Unclaimed Property Day in Lake Zurich

LAKE ZURICH, IL — State Senator Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) is partnering with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office to connect Illinoisans with more than $3.5 billion in unclaimed property and cash. From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, residents can meet with a counselor from the Treasurer’s Office at Senator McConchie’s district office in Lake Zurich to learn if some of the unclaimed items and cash are theirs.

“There are so many people that aren’t aware that they are owed money,” said Sen. McConchie. “This event is a convenient way for folks to come and check if there is property that belongs to them.”

The Treasurer’s office can also assist and answer questions for people that already have pending unclaimed property claims and need more assistance.
