Accepted medications include prescription drugs, pet medications, vitamins and vape pens and E-Cigarettes. Restricted items include liquids/creams, needles, and illegal drugs.
Why is it important to safely dispose of unused drugs?
Disposing of medications down a sink drain or flushing them down the toilet can contaminate groundwater, streams and lakes, and could harm people, wildlife and vegetation. At this event, disposal methods are environmentally safe. Medications tossed in the trash could accidentally poison young children and animals. This event also helps rid homes of unused prescription drugs, which might be misused or abused by children, teens and young adults.
