SPRINGFIELD- To help uplift the spirits of seniors throughout the community, State Senator Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) is collecting Valentine’s Day cards for his annual Valentines for Seniors Program.
“I need your help to ensure that our seniors feel remembered and valued this Valentine’s Day,” said Sen. McConchie. “My goal is to remind them that they are cared for and that people think of them. If you take a few minutes of your day to create a card, you will help spread love and joy to those needing it most.”
Sen. McConchie is encouraging churches, schools, and community members of the 26th Senate District to write Valentine’s Day cards that can be dropped off or mailed to his district office. Once all the cards have been collected, they will be personally delivered to the various long-term care facilities that make up the district.
Sen. McConchie encourages participants to be creative. These cards can include hand-made creations, encouraging and uplifting notes, drawings, etc.
The collection of Valentine’s Day cards will run now through February 5. Those wishing to participate will have the option to either mail their cards or drop them off. If delivering cards in-person, place them in the marked mailbox located on the 2nd floor outside the Lake Zurich office door.
Mail or deliver to:
Sen. Dan McConchie’s Office
795 Ela Rd., Suite 208
