While Illinoisans heed Governor Pritzker’s order to stay at home to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Senator Dan McConchie is calling for the state to extend its income tax filing deadline.
“While staying at home to reduce the spread of COVID-19 is the right thing for citizens of Illinois to be doing right now, there’s no question that it has caused economic hardship for many. We have to balance the need to maintain social-distancing, with relief that people can benefit from now. This is why we need to immediately extend the state’s income-tax filing deadline to match that of the federal government.”
