Illinois Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (ISBDR) will be in Lake County this Saturday helping people recover from the recent flooding.
ISBDR will be distributing five-gallon buckets filled with cleaning supplies and safety equipment for free.
When: Saturday, July 29
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Wildwood Presbyterian Church
18630 W Old Gages Lake Rd.
Grayslake, IL 60030
Transformation Church
38869 Deep Lake Rd.
Lake Villa, IL 60046
ISBDR will also provide up to two gallons of premixed Shockwave for each family at the event. ShockWave is a hospital grade EPA registered disinfectant, sanitizer, fungicide, virucide, bactericide, and cleaner for use on porous and non-porous surfaces. To receive the shockwave, residents will need to bring a sealable container or clean garden sprayer.
ISBDR also has work teams available to provide hands on help with flood recovery. Once a person fills out a request for assistance, their teams will assess your home and will remove contaminated materials and drywall and sanitize the structure. The assistance requests forms can be filled out at the two locations on Saturday mentioned above, or you can contact their Incident Command Center at 1-217-622-5101. Renters need to have both themselves and their landlord sign assistance request forms.
