State Sen. Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) was sworn in as State Senator for the 26th District on Wednesday, January 11. This will be McConchie’s first full term as State Senator.
“It is a distinct honor and privilege to serve in the Illinois State Senate and to represent the people of the 26th district. I look forward to fighting for our state and making it one of the greatest places to live.
“My main priority while serving in the 100th General Assembly will be to continue to fight for a true balanced budget accompanied by reforms that will boost the economy. In order to turn the state around, the General Assembly must promote an economic climate that encourages job creation.
“My other priorities in the next two years are property tax relief, education funding, and reining in state spending. In order for Illinois to prosper, there needs to be a change of course.
“I look forward to the challenges ahead and promise to represent the values of my constituents every single day in Springfield.”
