Senator Dan McConchie (Hawthorne Woods) spoke with TeenPact students about the legislative process during the group’s recent trip to the Illinois Statehouse.
During the TeenPact students’ four day visit, they learn about the basics of state government, but also learn more about their responsibility as both citizens and Christians. The students participated in a tour of the State Capitol, were allowed to read their legislation on the House floor, and met a variety of public officials—including Governor Bruce Rauner and State Representative Avery Bourne, who spoke to the students.
The TeenPact organization focuses on motivating young people to be leaders and encourages personal growth, personally and spiritually.
